ukrskl.jpg (5449 bytes)ukrskl01.jpg (18262 bytes)Hi, my name is Keith Lawrence. I've only been diving since 1996 but have clocked up dives around the UK, Corfu, Caribbean (3 times <g>) and the Maldives. I'm currently a BS-AC Dive Leader and Club Instructor with Stortford Divers (BS-AC 1385) of Bishop's Stortford in Hertfordshire, I am also IANTD Advanced Nitrox qualified.

As I'm over 40 (alright : 42) and not especially fit, my diving tends to be fairly gentle - I'm happiest around the 25-40m mark with deco hangs under 10 minutes.

During the main dive season I can normally be found at least once a month on a hardboat somewhere off the south coast, I'll dive with anyone qualified, from any organisation, if you have a space to fill on a dive trip then let me know. The 'full kit' shot was taken on UKRS#02, it shows my normal UK diving set of manifolded twin 10's rigged in a hog(ish) fashion, this set was new for 1999 and I've sold the Buddy BCD.

I am known for my sometimes outspoken views and my hatred of the "my agency is better than your agency" snobbery that can still be found in some pockets of resistance. I created the uk.rec.scuba newsgroup and this web site for the benefit of ALL UK divers and those who want to become divers. Anyway, you're getting a rather biased view here, catch me on the newsgroup or say hello if you see me around.
